This is from the arena of the so called 'permanent expo' at pier 60 clearwater beach
'100 leaping dolphins' is the title of this one. I sold more matted prints of this one durring the sandsculpting event than all of the other sculptures combined. people love dolphins.

I used to love going to Marco Island Fl.when I had a travel club membership.
I hate to admit this, but artists have for centuries sculpted as if the sculptures were paintings on a wall. they can only be appreciated mostly from one directional veiwpoint.

So, "What was I supposed to be personally admitting to above" you ask?
Well, I know better than to do it ; since by the time of the impressionists the 'point of veiw' problem was supposed to be remedied. And I still do it.

skeletons are aesthetic because of their obviouse contours which describe spaces which use to contain tissue.

getting back to admitting things .... I have to say : the best photo is all I have to document the sand art, since it's so temporal. And you dont really know if I've even completed the side which is facing away from the camera.
I'm pulling your leg again ! I wouldnt do that.Or would I?

When I had a childhood freind living in the area I thought I had real freinds through her. Since I was and still am new to the area , I relied on this circle of freinds. She didnt make it through her cancer treatments like I did.
So , the freinds have all dissappeared (because they werent real) and all I have left of her is the memories.This sculpture was done when we used to often enjoy the DunedinBeach causeway and HoneymoonIsland.I just love it.this one's for youT.Q. cant wait till we meet again, love johnny
